*This critique is free, but registration is required.*
Ever wonder about your paintings? People say they’re “nice”, but how good are they really? Or perhaps you’re in a rut and you suspect you can do better, but how? Who will give you an honest assessment of your work and where would you find that opportunity? Then this class is for you!
Robert Zeidler has been painting watercolors and acrylics for over 50 years and he’s been through all the same stages of artistic growth and challenges with which you struggle. In this class he’ll discuss the Principles and Elements of Design, as well as review basic compositional themes to go beyond just a “nice” painting. The majority of the class time will be spent on a constructive and honest critique of three of each student’s paintings. So, not only will you discover how to elevate your own work, but you’ll also learn a great deal from the critiques of other students’ work. No materials are needed. Just bring three paintings that you’d like critiqued. It’s best if the paintings are ones that you consider finished, and matted or framed, so they present well. Armed with this information, you’ll improve and be able to better analyze your own works.
