The Ankeny Art Center values all our dedicated volunteers! Volunteering is a wonderful and fulfilling way for individuals and organizations to give to the arts and to the community. We have many different events and opportunities to volunteer at to help support a local non-profit!
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR:​

Offsite Events

Handing out brochures and helping with kids crafts in Uptown and the District​

*Students under 16 may not volunteer for offsite events unless accompanied by an adult.

hanging new shows

help at receptions to greet people, food replenishment, or bar tending

help with Spring Cleaning in May by spackling and sanding walls, taping off doors and outlets, general cleaning and organizing.

We are always looking for artists and teachers who wish to share their skills with others. Classes cover 2D and 3D media, and a wide variety of ages.
The following are the classes we offer:
Kindergarten-8th Grade
Art Exploration Pottery Sculpture
Pottery Wheel Drawing
Adults
Drawing Watercolor
Pottery Various Workshops
Weaving Acrylics
The Ankeny Art Center is a non-profit Art Gallery with rotating art exhibits and classrooms for drawing, painting, and ceramics. Interns will learn how to hang a show, how to run classes and the day-to-day operation of an Art Center.
Our Summer semester is June 1 - August 4.
SUMMER INTERNS:
