EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
I have been at the Ankeny Art Center as the Director since 2021. I love living in Ankeny, it is such a neat place and I am excited to bring awareness to our little non-profit! I have a Bachelors in Anthropology from Southern Illinois University and a Masters of Arts in Art History from Academy of Art University. My goal for the Ankeny Art Center is to continue the growth that we’ve seen over the past few years.

EDUCATION DIRECTOR
I have been living in Iowa since 1990. After graduating from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Fine Art in 2007 with a concentration in Ceramics, I started my own ceramic business. This passion brought me to begin work with the Ankeny Art Center in 2016 as a teacher. This position grew into my current position as the Studio Manager and Education Director. My goal for the Ankeny Art Center is to continue to build our Fine Art class experiences with the communities that we serve.

Gallery Curator/Volunteer Coordinator
I moved to Ankeny from Denver Colorado at the beginning of 2022 where I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Metropolitan State University of Denver. Since graduating I have been organizing and instructing step-by-step painting classes, creating artwork, and assisting with indoor and outdoor art exhibitions. I hope to bring exciting new work to the Ankeny Art Center and continue to make art a part of everyday life!

Studio Tech
Born and raised in Las Vegas, I moved to Ankeny in July of 2021. I started my position as Studio Tech in October of 2021. I am proud to do my part to help the Ankeny Art Center bring its amazing services to the people of Ankeny!

Event Coordinator
I am joining the Ankeny Art Center as the Event Coordinator. I recently left my career in marketing for a local property management company and was looking for a more creative career change. I have a great passion for all things local, and event planning is something that I always seem to find myself doing no matter what position I hold. I have a bachelor's degree in Business Management from Bellevue University, and I also own a small marketing business that focuses on small business owners and assisting them with their marketing goals. I’m thrilled to be joining such an amazing team of creatives and to be a part of something amazing for Ankeny.
